The Academic Institute for Special Needs (AISN) was established to certify private special education providers programs, The AISN is an organization dedicated to providing individualized, multi-modal learning programs that promote natural developmental processes and optimize organizations functioning for Special Needs of children and adults.
AISN provides an accreditation process which effectively and systematically evaluates private and governmental special education programs, clubs, learning academies, and institutions and encourages diversity and innovation of educational practice; assisting students in the private special education that they are provided a healthy, safe, comfortable and conducive learning environment.
These cases may come in three basic forms:
Learning/ Mental Difficulties- These may or may not be correlated to a physical or medical condition. Some examples include dyslexia, Central Auditory Processing Disorder, and Autism.
Behavior/Developmental Difficulties - An example of behavioral disorders may involve Attention Deficit and Hyperactivity Disorder (AD/HD), Autism, Asperger Syndrome, Depression, Bipolar Disorder, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), and Down syndrome.
Physical Difficulties- Examples of such physical barricades can be visual impairments, hearing loss/deafness, Spina Bifida, Cerebral Palsy, Epilepsy, Speech Impediments, Paralysis, Muscular Dystrophy, Stroke, Parkinson's Disease, and numerous other Neurological problems.

Provides credibility for institutions in the eyes of the public.
Provides outside validation for institution that they met certain standards.
Assures the public that the school program and organization will periodically undergo an intensive self-evaluation by the school community and a review by educators who are not affiliated with the school.
Makes a public statement that the organization is committed to quality education, is willing to be measured against standards, and is willing to engage in strategic improvement activities.
Provides the organization with an objective outside viewpoint which may be necessary in addressing long-standing issues and concerns.
Facilitates an intensive self-evaluation process with improvement in staff communication and cohesiveness.
Provides an opportunity to highlight the accomplishments of the organization and its students.
